Primera Convocatoria Internacional de Selección de VideoDance

La Fundación Fondo Internacional de las Artes y el Instituto Universitario de la Danza “Alicia Alonso” de la Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, en colaboración con la Fundación del Nuevo Cine Latinoamericano y el Centro de Artes de Vanguardia La Neomdéjar, ponen en marcha un nuevo proyecto para la conservación del Patrimonio Audiovisual de la Danza mediante la creación de un circuito de exhibición que permita potenciar el trabajo de vídeocreadores, coreógrafos, intérpretes y profesionales de la danza generando un puente de intercambio intercontinental que asegure la difusión y el intercambio entre artistas europeos e iberoamericanos.

Este programa se inspira en el proyecto EUROPEAN VIDEO DANCE HERITAGE aprobado por la Unión Europea en 2013, cuyo objetivo ha sido estructurar una memoria Europea de la Danza que garantice la conservación y preservación del patrimonio mundial de la danza. Se trata de promover una iniciativa intercontinental que permita la creación de la red de exhibición del registro audiovisual de las creaciones coreográficas de diferentes autores Europeos, Iberoamericanos y del resto del mundo. Su objetivo fundamental es la transmisión de los valores vinculados a la herencia cultural de los pueblos que se expresa a través de la danza y lograr que se incentive y promueva la inspiración de las jóvenes generaciones de artistas al tiempo que adquieran conciencia de la necesidad de preservar la danza como un bien cultural de la humanidad.

Este proyecto pretende agrupar instituciones de ambos continentes que se comprometan en la exhibición de las creaciones audiovisuales de la danza, estableciendo pautas estandarizadas que permitan compartir la información y crear redes institucionales que tengan como objetivos la formación, la promoción y difusión de la danza en todas sus manifestaciones integrando Universidades, Teatros, Festivales, Centros de Investigación, Museos, y demás instituciones comprometidas en el desarrollo de la Danza.

En consecuencia, la Fundación Fondo Internacional de las Artes y el Instituto Universitario de la Danza “Alicia Alonso” en colaboración con la Fundación del Nuevo Cine Latinoamericano y el Centro de Arte de Vanguardias La Neomudéjar, así como la red de centros asociados a dicha institución invitan a vídeocreadores y profesionales de la danza, coreógrafos, docentes, directores de espectáculos de danza, realizadores, que posean obras de Video Danza, cuyo tiempo de duración sea entre 3 y 6 minutos, a participar en el Concurso de Selección. Esta muestra itinerante del Fondo Internacional de las Artes será exhibida en países del Continente Americano (Sur, Centro y Norte) Europa, Asia y Africa.

Los resultados de la selección se comunicará vía e-mail a partir del 20 de noviembre, además se publicarán los nombres de las obras en las páginas web del Fondo Internacional de la Danza y de la Fundación de la Danza, además de mostrarse a través del canal vimeo de la Fundación.

Estas son las bases:

– Podrán intervenir vídeocreadores, coreógrafos, intérpretes y profesionales de la danza, realizadores y directores de espectáculos de la danza de cualquier parte del mundo. Se podrán enviar hasta dos obras de manera individual o colectiva, adjuntando a cada obra su ficha de inscripción y firma.
– Las obras deberán haber sido creadas no antes de septiembre de 2012 y pueden haber participado en festivales de vídeo u otras exhibiciones.
– La duración de las obras no podrá ser menor a 3 minutos ni mayor de 6 minutos.
– La lengua permitida será solamente la del español o el inglés; si la obra fuese creada en otro idioma deberá incluir los subtítulos correspondientes en español o inglés.
– El formato de las obras será de FULL HD y el formato 16:9.
– Las mismas deberán ser acompañadas por la cadena de derechos tanto de imagen como de los derechos musicales.
– El período de entrega de las obras será desde el día de la publicación de las bases hasta el 10 de noviembre de 2014, cerrándose el plazo a las 19:00 hrs.
– Se pueden enviar por correo postal*, para lo que se tendrá en cuenta para computar el período de entrega, la fecha del sello y si es vía digital, la fecha de envío.
– Si es vía digital, se enviará a través de Drop-Box a la siguiente dirección de email: fundacionvideodanza@gmail.com junto a la ficha de inscripción. En el Asunto deberá figurar el nombre del vídeo.
– La ficha de inscripción que está más abajo, deberá ser firmada y adjuntada con el vídeo.
– En ambos casos, correo ordinario o electrónico, se comunicará la recepción de la obra por e-mail.

– Si no se cumplen algunos de los requisitos enunciados en las bases, la obra será automáticamente rechazada.
– La participación en esta convocatoria supone la aceptación de todos y cada uno de los puntos, sin excepción.
– Los participantes eximen a las instituciones convocantes y colaboradoras de cualquier responsabilidad derivada del plagio o de cualquier otra transgresión de la legislación vigente en materia de propiedad intelectual en la que pudiera incurrir con las obras presentadas.
– Los autores seleccionados deberán otorgar la cesión de los derechos de reproducción y exhibición de la obra en cualquier actividad relacionada con esta convocatoria y exclusivamente en relación a ella.

– Un jurado internacional formado por 11 expertos seleccionará los 20 vídeos más representativos.
– Los resultados de la selección se comunicará vía email a partir del 20 de noviembre, además se publicarán los nombres de las obras en las páginas web del Fondo Internacional de las Artes y se colgarán en el Canal Vimeo de la Fundación a partir de Diciembre.
– Los dos primeros ganadores participarán en los talleres -residencia en La Escuela de Cine, en Cuba , en el 2015 ,con el coste del traslado a Cuba, cubierto.
Las piezas seleccionadas formarán parte de la 1ra Muestra Itinerante del Proyecto Internacional de Video Danza, convocatoria que será ampliada en años sucesivos. Esta 1era Muestra Itinerante del Fondo Internacional de las Artes será exhibida en países del Continente Americano (Sur, Centro y Norte) Europa, Asia y Africa.
Las obras seleccionadas se integrarán a archivos seguros de consulta gestionando su inclusión en las Bibliotecas Virtuales de la Unión Europea Europeana e Hispana.

The Foundation International Fund of Arts (FIArt) and the Institute of Dance “Alicia Alonso” , University Rey Juan Carlos, in collaboration with the Foundation of the New Latin-American Cinema start a new project for the conservation of the Audio-visual Heritage of the Dance by means of the creation of a circuit of exhibition that allows to promote the work of vídeocreadores, choreographers, interpreters and professionals of the dance generating a bridge of intercontinental exchange that assures the diffusion and the exchange between European ,Latin-American artists and the rest of the world.

logo con rectangulo blanco(1)This program is inspired by the project VIDEO EUROPEAN DANCE HERITAGE approved by the European Union in 2013, which aim has been to structure an European memory of the Dance that guarantees the conservation and preservation of the world heritage of dance. We aim to of promote an intercontinental initiative that allows the creation of the exhibition network of the audio-visual record of the choreographic creations of different authors from Europe, Latin Americans and of the rest of the world. Its main objective is the transmission of the values linked to the cultural inheritance of the different peoples that expresses across the dance and to stimulate and promote the inspiration of the young generations of artists at the same time that they acquire the conscience of the need to preserve the Dance as a cultural good of Humanity.

This project tries to group institutions from the continents of the world that would compromise in the exhibition of the audio-visual creations of the dance, establishing standardized guidelines that allow to share the information and to create institutional networks with the principal aim to form, promote and spread the dance in all its manifestations ,joining for this purpose Universities, Theatres, Festivals, Centers of Investigation, Museums, and other institutions compromised in the development of Dance.
In consequence, the International Foundation of Arts and the U Institute of the Dance “Alicia Alonso” ,University Rey Juan Carlos, in collaboration with the Foundation of the New Latin-American film, as well as the network of centers associated with the above mentioned institution invite vídeocreadores and professionals of the dance, choreographers, teachers, directors of spectacles of dance, producers, who possess works of Video Dance, with a window of time between 3 and 6 minutes, to take part in the Contest of Selection.
This First Itinerant Exhibition will be exhibited in countries of the American Continent (South, Center and North) Europe, Asia and Africa.

Bases:

– Who can participate: vídeocreadores, choreographers, interpreters and professionals of the dance, producers and the directors of spectacles of the dance from any part of the world. Could be an individual or a group, and it has to be no more than 2 works per participant. If they present two works, each one has to have the registration form with all the requirements fulfilled.
– The videos can´t be from before September, 2012 and could have participated in festivals or other exhibitions.
-The duration of the works should not exceed 6 minutes or be less than 3 minutes
-The allowed language will be only Spanish or English. If the piece is created in another language it must be subtitled in spanish or english.
The format of the works will be of FULL HD and the format 16:9.
– The works will have to be accompanied with the chain of rights both of image and musical rights.
-The period of reception of the works will be from the day of the publication of the bases until November 10, 2014, no later than 19:00 hrs by mail.
-They should be sent by e-mail vía Drop Box , to the mail: fundacionvideoarte@gmail.com. On the Subject, should be the name of the Video and it also should be sent the Inscription card, signed.
-It could also be sent by post, in which case the date of the stamp is considered the date of reception. Also included the registration form, signed.

-In both cases the reception of the works will be communicated via mail.
-An international juror formed by 11 experts will select the 20 most representative videos. -If any of the requirements enunciated in the bases are not fulfilled, the work will be automatically rejected.
-The participation implies the acceptance of each and every of the points, without exception. –
-The participants exempt the organizing institutions and collaborators of any responsibility derived from the plagiarism or from any another transgression of the in force legislation for intellectual property which it could incur with the presented works.
-The results of the selection will be communicated via -email to the winners and also in the we page of the Foundation and Institute, from November 20th, also at the channel vimeo of the Foundation.
– The selected authors will have to grant the transfer of the copyrights and exhibition of the work in any activity related to this call and exclusively in relation to it.. –
-The first two selected will participate in the workshops – and residence at The School of Cinema, in Cuba, in 2015, with the cost of the plane ticket covered.
-The 20 selected pieces will belong to The First Itinerant Exhibition of the International Videodance Proyect that will be ,extended in the successive years. This First Itinerant will be exhibited in countries of the American Continent (South, Center and North) Europe, Asia and Africa. The selected works will be added to the secured consulting files in the Virtual Libraries of the European Union and Hispanic.
