TAKASHI MAKINO (Japón, 1978) estudió música y diseño de iluminación en el taller londinense de los hermanos Quay. Posteriormente se consagró a la creación experimental, dirigiendo decenas de obras que se han proyectado en más de 25 países. Entre sus múltiples reconocimientos, Makino recibió en 2012 el Tiger Award al mejor cortometraje en el festival de Rotterdam por Generator.
For this event I have prepared video images that have super quick movement and beautiful color. The objective is to project images on diffused mirrors in the darkness. The shadows of trees and people will move like a live cinema. TAKASHI MAKINO
VANGUARDIAS LIVE
Vanguardias Live es la sección de FILMADRID que une el medio audiovisual con la experiencia en vivo.
Cuatro cineastas han sido invitados a realizar un trabajo que mezcle sus intereses cinematográficos con la naturaleza singular de una performance, con el requisito de crear algo que ellos mismos no hayan realizado antes.
De esta forma, cada sesión de Vanguardias Live supone un reto para los cineastas, pero también para el propio festival, que acoge obras aún desconocidas, obras que se han ido formando a lo largo de los meses y cuyo resultado sólo conoceremos cuando llegue el día de la presentación en directo.
Nos encontramos ante una experiencia irrepetible que tiene mucho de experimentación y en la que el cine se expande tocando otros medios artísticos y otros espacios de exhibición, con la intención de generar nuevos contenidos y nuevas sensibilidades.
En esta segunda edición contamos con las creaciones de Lluís Miñarro, Javier Rebollo, Takashi Makino y Luis López Carrasco, cuatro cineastas de prestigio internacional que han aceptado el desafío.
Vanguardias Live is the section of the programme where FILMADRID puts together the audiovisual media with a live experience.
Four filmmakers have been invited to work on a project that combines their film interests with the distinctive nature of a performance; all of it, with the aim of creating something that they themselves have not even thought of before.
As a result, each Vanguardias Live session not only means a challenge to the filmmakers, but also to the festival itself, for it displays unreleased work which has been developed throughout the previous months and their result will only be revealed the day of their live performance.
We are facing a one-off mainly experimental experience in which film expands and sways with other artistic expressions and exhibition spaces, all with the intention of creating new contents and sensitivities.
For this second edition, Lluís Miñarro, Javier Rebollo, Takashi Makino and Luis López Carrasco, four renowned filmmakers, have taken up Vanguardias Live – a big challenge for everyone.
